Since this is a coordinated evangelistic effort, Byron will not be able to present live at each location. He is however, recording the series at another local church in Texas, which will become the video presentation portion of your series at your church. The Promise Prophecies is unique in that it offers video presentation by a professional Adventist evangelist, while also helping to cultivate relationships and discussion with guided discussions by the moderator each night.

All churches are hosting The Promise Prophecies starting April 21. You can shift your schedule as needed if you are unable to host double sessions on Saturdays or need different nights off during the week. Keep your schedule consistent, and if you do host a session on Sabbath, make sure it is not mixed with your regular church service. (If you have a guest who is still working on being comfortable in a church, they may not be ready for a full worship service to kick off session 2.)

Yes, and we encourage you to engage with your community as much as your church can throughout the year. As part of this innovative cycle, we are focusing our efforts on piloting The Promise Prophecies this spring, so we can learn and make any adjustments needed for a full launch this fall. As part of this pilot cohort, you are also getting a full 12 months of Bible study leads through LeadGenerator, so you can connect with those who are curious in your community all year long. These Bible study leads make great event leads too, so be sure to send them a personal invite to anything else your church is hosting this year!

The real question should be, how do you increase the likelihood of responses in general. The fact is, no matter where the pre-registration came from (mailer, social media, drove by the banner outside your church, etc.) you can increase the likelihood of someone coming to opening night of your event if you reach out to them shortly after they pre-register. Reaching out and making a personal connection does two things:

1. It reminds anyone who registered online that this is an in-person event coming up soon.
2. It makes people feel seen, whether they filled out a card or an online form. And when we are seen, we are more likely to engage.

We recommend a phone call or text since they’ve already received an automated email confirmation about their pre-registration.

When you first reach out you could say something like:

“Hi! I am from the team hosting The Promise Prophecies. I just saw you registered to attend the event and I am so glad you are planning to join us! I wanted to reach out and introduce myself in case you have any questions or prayer requests throughout this seminar.”

Then on opening night send them a text saying:

“Hi, [their first name], it’s [your name] again from The Promise Prophecies. The series starts tonight, and I am so glad that you’re coming! Please let me know if there is anything you need. See you there!”

Providing additional resources is a key part of building trust with your guests during your series.

Offering a free gift will help your guests feel valued and remember their experiences with your church after the series has concluded. Knowing this, there are a number of required resources to help your event run smoothly and help your team connect with your guests.

We have some book recommendations that are a natural next step for your guests to read, however, we also recommend that you continue meeting with them at your church for an event or in a small group setting after experiencing The Promise Prophecies has concluded.

That depends on the size of your campaign. For this cycle, you are either set up to get 5 or 10 new leads each month. You should be getting an email from SermonView when your account is set up and with how many leads you should be expecting. Please let us know if you need more specific information about your campaign.

Your campaign guarantees a set number per month, however it's possible that you can receive more. We try to stay close to that number because, although we would love to reach everyone in our communities, not all churches have the same volunteer or staff availability. To avoid people requesting studies not getting responded to because of limited volunteers, we try to keep it at or close to the guaranteed amount.

No one likes to feel rejected, and this can definitely feel disappointing. Although we don’t know what prompted them to request a Bible study, and then not respond to you, we do know the responded to the ad. They expressed an interest in learning more about God or the Bible.

It is important to remember that unless someone directly asks you to stop contacting them, they are not a lost opportunity. Byron Corbett suggests you make 7 attempts to connect with your unresponsive lead. After that, continue to show them that you and the Bible are a source of Good News and encouragement. You never know when you will be ready to take that next step, so it’s important to just be ready.

The online ads your leads see won't prescribe a specific Bible study, but rather, promote a theme. (You may end up offering a variety of Bible studies throughout the year.) Check the offer details within each lead's profile in InterestTracker to see the theme of the ad that they responded to.

Considering the theme of each ad someone responds to allows you to choose the Bible study that best represents your church and also directly speaks to their interest, which will encourage continued connection.

Because we are constantly testing and adjusting our Bible study ads for improvement, these are not the only ads we will use for your campaign. These do, however, represent the ad themes we've seen work best.

     

Byron recommends waiting until they ask, or it comes up naturally. The key is to not treat it like it’s important to mention right away, but also don’t act like you are hiding it either. Some people might have preconceived ideas about certain denominations, so we generally recommend waiting until you’ve had the chance to have a positive relationship start before introducing them to denomination specifics.
